Engine Removal – Round 1

Well I have conscripted the team (we will call them the Strathcona Mini Association – SMA) to help pull out the motor Saturday evening.  I started a little prep work by taking the hood (bonnet) and front grill off.  The oil is drained and I started draining the antifreeze, but was unable to finish…  way to crowded in their and I was starting to spill it all over the place.  Thankfully the SMA will be over and I am sure we will get things sorted out.  Here is a shot of the mini sans bonnet and grill.

haha judging by your engine bay pictures i have a feeling its going to take a little more time haha… but i’m prepared to stay all night untill it’s out… do you need me to bring drain pans? or do you have one? or two? haha…

I have one. I have a feeling a may be short on a couple of things, but we will see… We may need to do a quick run back to your place after an initial assessment. 🙂
